About T&J Haulage
SERVING INDUSTRIAL SECTORS FOR OVER 30 YEARS
In 2024 we will be very proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary of operating bulk tippers for the feed, food and aggregate industries.
Having started in 1984 with a brand new Leyland Roadtrain tractor unit coupled with a Craven Task trailer at approx. £45,000 to operating a full Scania fleet of 20 x R450 & R540 tractor units with Wilcox plank-side trailers at approx. £230,000 each (when ready for the road at our spec) – it’s certainly been a journey!
Our Current Team
T&J Haulage Today
We now carry out a lot of haulage for the four largest grain merchants in the country in addition to many smaller independent companies.
We carry grains throughout their life’s journey, loading at farms and various docks, and delivering to mills for food or feed and back out as feed to farms round the Northwest and further afield.
Today, the company fleet comprises of 20 owned Scania trucks and 11 full time sub-contractors, employing 25 full-time staff. The Company’s Main depot is now based in a one-acre site and although still in Clitheroe, it is considerably larger than the one they outgrew with their growing fleet of 5 trucks on Chatburn Trading estate back in 2000.

Award Winning Haulage
TASCC (Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops) which ensures that all products being carried that are destined for the food / feed chain are done so to the highest possible standard. We have a team of wash staff to ensure that the vehicles / trailers are not only kept pristine on the outside but, also properly sanitised on the inside. All our trailers are also fitted with electric sheets to help protect that precious load.
FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) ‘aims to drive up standards within fleet operations and demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency and environmental protection’.
